Vertically Integrated Lithium Development

Empower is among the first companies to offer a true end-to-end lithium solution, integrating both concentration and refining processes within a single system.

Dallas, TX — January 30, 2025 — DME Energy Resources (“DME”), a fully vertically integrated lithium company, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Conductive Energy, a market leader in Direct Lithium Extraction (“DLE”) technology. Effective October 1, 2025, the two companies have merged to form Empower EIT, creating a uniquely positioned North American platform spanning lithium production, extraction technology, conversion, and resource development.

As part of the integration, Empower EIT has consolidated its operations into a new 17,000-square-foot headquarters and innovation facility in Dallas, Texas, relocating Conductive Energy’s manufacturing operations from Chicago and its laboratory and research functions from Calgary. This move brings all engineering, manufacturing, research, and operational teams under one roof, accelerating collaboration and commercialization timelines.

Conductive Energy brings patented DLE technology capable of producing high-purity lithium carbonate from brine with industry-leading efficiency and a significantly reduced environmental footprint. The technology has been validated through commercial-scale collaborations with large energy majors, underscoring its readiness for deployment at scale. Importantly, Conductive Energy’s research and development efforts were primarily funded through non-dilutive capital, preserving equity value while advancing the technology toward commercialization.

Following the completion of the acquisition, Empower EIT also announced a new strategic equity partnership with Joe Williams, co-founder of Keller Williams Realty International. Williams brings decades of experience building and scaling one of the world’s most successful real estate and investment platforms, along with deep expertise in organizational growth, capital strategy, and long-term value creation.

“We are honored to welcome Joe Williams as an equity partner,” said Patrick Dowling, President and CEO of Empower EIT. “Joe’s entrepreneurial leadership and proven ability to scale complex organizations globally make him an exceptional strategic partner as we build a category-defining lithium platform.”

“Empower EIT represents the kind of company I am drawn to—strong leadership, patented technology, and a long-term vision aligned with real-world demand,” said Joe Williams. “The opportunity to support a fully integrated, domestic lithium platform at this stage of growth is both compelling and important for the future of energy.”

The acquisition and new equity partnership significantly strengthen Empower EIT’s competitive position amid rising global demand for lithium driven by electrification and clean energy policies in the United States and abroad.

Formerly DME Energy Resources, Empower EIT is positioned to become a leading North American DLE platform through its vertically integrated model, which includes in-house operator capabilities such as drilling and production, proven Direct Lithium Extraction technology, lithium conversion capability achieving 99.97% lithium carbonate purity, and integrated manufacturing, research and development, and operational infrastructure.

The formation of Empower EIT represents a significant milestone in the evolution of next-generation lithium production, aligning technological innovation with environmental stewardship, supply-chain security, and long-term shareholder value creation.
